I love the way the internet works (as I said yesterday on Twitter) and I love the creation of weird memes that seem to take on a life of their own once they’re unleashed on all of us. This Back to the Future date meme is all a fun hoax, but it’s gotten so much traction. First, July 5 was the date and now it’s also July 6. I’m really hoping that we get some more of this tomorrow too. Because, really, these aren’t the dates. Marty McFly didn’t travel to 2010 at all. It was 2015. But here’s a video that shows the actual dates from Doc Brown’s DeLorean: Good times! Great Scott!  There’s still time!  We can make a hoverboard happen people.
