Hunting season in the country means hunting hounds showing up randomly at our door and gun toting, orange vest-wearing hunters walking down our road.

But then today I saw a dog wearing an orange vest. My mind is blown.

Does anyone there use a bow? I think there’s a dignity to using the classic bow and arrow.

Do you have any idea how difficult it would be to shoot a deer with a bow and arrow? You can’t exactly hide while you’re shooting with them! Some hunters use crossbows, but they’re annoying since their season is three months long instead of the three weeks they have to hunt with guns.

Alright, it’s fun fact time: we Burchill’s have a long history of archery. I had my own bow and arrow growing up. I used to shoot at a deer target off my back deck.

Wow, because it’s a lot more sporting to shoot a deer from three football fields away with a rifle that could bring down a helicopter and a scope that can actually see russia from palin’s home in alaska.  Yeah, I suppose in that case you might find anything, including putting your pants on one-leg-at-a-time to be much more difficult.
