In These Times Of Harsh Economy - Mark Mallman

I don’t think this track would feel too out of place on Cloud Cult’s The Meaning of the Number 8

Hockey - “Too Fake”

Look out!
Cause I’m just too fake for the world
Oh, you know it’s just a game to me
Oh, I’m just too fake you see
Oh, I wish I didn’t have to be
But watch out!
I’ve got too much soul for the world
It’s breaking my heart in two
I’ve got too much soul for you
I don’t like it but it’s true
Favorite DS game ever.

Remember that time in 10th grade history when your teacher said you’d get extra credit for writing a review of the movie “Pearl Harbor,” and so you did, but instead of getting extra credit you got a note back on your review saying “Try again - missed the point.” even though you totally didn’t miss the point and the movie just really really really sucked?
Because I do.

Thanks in part to Team America: World Police I occasionally reference things in order of suckitude on the Michael Bay Scale, It goes from 5 (The Island) to 2 (Bad Boys) to -1 (Transformers) to negative infinity (Pearl Harbor) to an even larger value of negative infinity (Transformers 2).
What I’m trying to say here is Michael Bay sucks, and so does Pearl Harbor.

Does your comp really have a mustache?

Of course it does. I thought about getting it a monocle too but it doesn’t have eyes.

To hell with resale value that’s MY computer.

Did you know you can download audio books from the Hennepin County Library?

whereabout:

Because you can.

Also, Ramsey County is on the ball with this.

Pardon me while I nerd out here for a second. Some of you know I play disc golf. I compete (poorly) against the pros. Yes, that’s a thing. Yes, I have friends that make a living playing frisbee disc golf.
I’ve been in the footwear business for some time (as a result of a connection I made through playing disc golf mind you) and recently, a group of my closest friends and I helped to design, wear test and name this shoe. This is the Keen Milo, designed/tested/named specifically for the sport of disc golf. It was released yesterday. My dear friend at Keen tells me the bulk of the stock will be in the warehouse and ready to ship by 11/20/09 though there are a few limited sizes available right now. It’s waterproof. It’s $110. It’s only available at KeenFootwear.com

That’s awesome. I will attempt to get a pair. How could I not? I love my one pair of Keen shoes, I play disc golf (I compete [poorly] in the lower Amateur class), and my father’s name is Milo.
Congrats.

This allows me to throw money at my disc golf game rather than time. I dig that the color scheme is called Drizzle/Gargoyle.

Do you find yourself disappointed with the cheapness and ease of entry into disc golf? Don’t fret, it’s about to get a lot more complex and expensive! These shoes are perfect for the discerning buyer that knows “gee wiz, I’m not very good at disc golf; that couldn’t be because I never practice, it must be due to my shoes!”
Coming next season; Gloves so you can get the perfect grip everytime!
And coming in 2011; Discs that throw themselves and putters made of magnets!
- I could write copy, I’ve seen Mad Men.
